I have been fascinated with the colors and designs of fabric all my life. In fact, I had been collecting fabric for about 20 years and made endless amounts of clothing articles. But I always felt that there was something I was missing, and wouldn’t you know it, I discovered quilting! That’s when I knew I had found my niche in life.
Since I had already searched the phone book, I decided to check out the shopping malls around Door County. After realizing there weren’t any quilt shops, I decided to open one. So we opened our doors on April 10th, 2002 in Ellison Bay, next to the Silly Goose. We moved to the Country Walk Shops in Sister Bay on December 15th, 2006.
We have over 2,000+ bolts of fabric, 200+ books and endless notions and patterns. We have Asian, brites and children’s novelty fabrics, hand-dyed batiks, as well as fall, Christmas, Nautical, and of course, cherry fabrics.
We want to get to know you and to make you feel at home with us so we have a lounge area with cable TV, easy chairs, magazines and coffee.
We hope that our samples will inspire you and encourage you to enjoy your passion as much as we enjoy our guests and our passion of quilting. The history behind every project is so fascinating and that is why we would love for you to bring in finished and unfinished projects for show and tell and to keep our creativity flowing as well. For instance, what was the reason for that project, why did you choose the pattern and fabrics you did?

We are open daily, 10am – 5pm from May 1st - October 31st. From November 1st through April 30th, we are open Thursday – Saturday, 10am – 4pm.
